How tio rectify TAXABLE FLAG field in purchase order module in frontend applications

have not worked in 11i for a

have not worked in 11i for a very long time but i guess if you put the tax code in PO shipment then the tax status flag 'll be checked...
similarily you can remove the tax code and the flag 'll be unchked

But in R12 there in so such stuff as we dont put tax codes
